Our Story
Bushbuck tannery is a private company that deals with skin and hide production. The company idea came up with Mr. Lucky Mkansi who inherited the skill of skin tanning from his father in the early 1980s’. In the year 2023 he was joined by Mr. Steven Mona who is a young energetic and well experienced person in Public Administration.
The duo later registered the company in the year 2025 to kick start their journey of entering the skin and hide manufacturing industry.
We produce at least 500 square meters of hide per month. These skins and hides are sourced from local animal farmers and we have a strong support in terms of supply of game skins and hides from the Kruger national park where they are giving them to us for free.
